Tullow Oil, London
When independent oil company Tullow Oil re-located their offices to a new 132,000 square foot space in Chiswick Park (London, UK), Peldon Rose designed a scheme that would not only reflect the company brand, but also embrace the ethos that “people come before bricks and mortar.”
The dramatic, sweeping waves of the reception area welcome staff and visitors with the sleek, pristine freshness of Corian® in Glacier White. Thermoformed and appearing seamlessly joined to create this monolithic impression, the material has also been milled in strips and then backlit to exploit its translucency and create the diffused illumination effect.
The works comprised:-
- Utilising our TopSolid® software to take Peldon Rose layouts and visuals to produce 3D models;
- Our 5 axis CNC produced the complex moulds required for the thermoforming machine to form the complicated 3 dimensional shapes.
- Specialist LED lighting was then positioned precisely to coincide with the rebated slots in the rear of the Corian®.
- Construction of reception desk, breakout wall and bulkhead on site
