Scottish Environmental Protection Agency

When the design team for the Scottish Environmental protection Agency (SEPA) new offices in Aberdeen aimed to embed the enduring symbol of Scotland into a beautifully durable design solution. The reception counter provided the ideal opportunity through which to realise their creative vision.
The complex design required precision craftsmanship using dye sublimation to permanently ‘tattoo’ a Thistle pattern that blooms upward across the fascia, under an alcove and over to the top of the desk. The results were simply stunning.
The works comprised:-
- Close collaboration with the design team.
- Construction of the reception desk in Corian-Glacier White.
- Advanced dye sublimation printing.
- Installation on site.
